The Floating Lantern Ceremony (Toro Nagashi)

Toro Nagashi is a ceremony which consist to send off the spirits of the dead on a lantern floated on the water of a river or sea.
Due the high frequentation during the Festival along the Sumida river, it’s recommended to keep your place early in the day.

Schedule
Ceremony start at 18:30
Lanterns shedding from 18:45 to 20:00

Place : Sumida river promenade path,
between Azuma bridge~Kototoi bridge.
The lanterns dropping place is at Azumabashi Shinsui Terrace
