Tori-no Ichi

Asakusa Tori-no-Ichi market is a traditional annual event in November on the day of the rooster (=Tori) in Chinese zodiac calendar, which started 400 years ago in Edo era. During this event, visitors pray for luck at prosperity in business.
It’s also an opportunity to see and buy various of [Kumade] in the market, a bamboo rake charms, which believed to give good fortune in business.

Schedule : 1st (Thu), 13th (Tue) and 25th (Sun) November 2018
Place : Asakusa Ohtori shrine, Chokokuji
