The Shitamachi Tanabata Festival is organised by Shitamachi (=downtown) Tanabata Festival Executive Committee, every year at the Kappa-Bashi Main Street, from west Asakusa to Ueno on about 1.2km circuit.
Many Tanabata decorations, shops, musics and performances animate the street during the Festival and visitors have the opportunity to feel the energy and spirit of downtown Tokyo.
